ABOUT US
The Business Society is one of the largest and most active academic societies at UEA. We represent the largest school at the university, Norwich Business School. Whilst the vast proportion of our members are business students, we also have a notable number of members from the schools of Economics and Computer Science.
Our primary focus is on providing extra-curricular opportunities for our members. Our events programme consists of four branches: social, academic, competitions and trips.
The society was founded in 2010 as the Management Society. The subsequent years have seen phenomenal measures of growth to bring us to where we are today. In recent years, those growth efforts have been accelerated, which resulted in our nomination for UEA SU's Academic Society of the Year in both 2018 & 2019, an award we yearn to achieve in the near future. In addition to these nominations, in 2019 we won the inaugural Academic Society Partnership Award for our work with the Norwich Business School, and Student Led Event of the Year for our UEApprentice competition. Our growth is continuing, and we are anticipating 2019/20 to be our busiest year yet.
